Every year the cost of housing increases, the cost of food increases, the cost of tuition increases, the cost to clothe yourself increases, the cost to live and survive increases every year, but the minimum amount that the federal government requires your employer to pay you, remains the same.  This uneven exchange keeps full time employees unable to care for their families, in debt, and struggling to keep their heads above water.  Thereasa believes that this problem has caused families to plunge into poverty that is nearly impossible to overcome and is one of the major factors contributing to the ever increasing income inequality epidemic.
